Helping You Reconnect With Yourself

Redefining ME is a holistic psychotherapy practice based in Fort Collins, helping adults reconnect with themselves after trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional suppression. If you feel cut off from your emotions, overwhelmed by life's challenges, or stuck in patterns of avoidance, you're not alone. I use an integrative approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, combining experiential and body-based practices to help you understand the patterns keeping you stuck and create lasting change.

How Emotional Suppression Affects Anxiety, Depression & Trauma

Many of us grew up believing that difficult emotions should be hidden, controlled, or ignored. Over time, emotional suppression can contribute to anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and patterns of avoidance. What once helped you survive may now be keeping you stuck. My role is to help you understand those patterns, process unresolved experiences, and reconnect with yourself in a healthier, more meaningful way.

What to Expect in Therapy

Therapy begins by understanding your unique story. Together, we'll explore the experiences, emotions, and protective patterns that have shaped your life, creating a deeper understanding of what has kept you safe, what may be keeping you stuck, and how to move forward in a more intentional and meaningful way.

Rather than simply managing symptoms, we'll work to reconnect you with yourself through greater awareness, emotional processing, and experiential approaches that support lasting healing and meaningful change.

Why This Approach Works

Healing isn't about fixing what's wrong with you. It's about understanding the experiences that shaped you and the strategies that once helped you survive. By gently feeling into your emotions, recognizing protective patterns, and cultivating greater awareness and self-compassion, you'll begin living with greater freedom, connection, and intention.

Through psychoeducation, embodied skills, and experiential practices, we'll learn to view pain differently, release patterns that no longer serve you, and reconnect with yourself. As your capacity for regulation, acceptance, and flexibility grows, so does your ability to move through life with greater trust, connection, and confidence.
